Can people learn to use AI well, in their own language and at their own pace?
Priorities are editorial judgements by Cyprus AI Monitor about public value and the attention each sector needs. They are not official strategy rankings, readiness scores or EU AI Act risk categories.
Learners could practise explaining and checking an AI answer, while teachers adapt exercises to different levels.
These are examples of possible uses. They do not describe systems already in use or promise any benefit.
Check that people actually learn, protect children’s information and make access possible for people with disabilities or limited connectivity.

Share of internet users aged 16–74 who took an online course in the first quarter of 2025.
The share is of internet users rather than all residents. Courses on any subject count, and taking a course does not demonstrate AI literacy.
What we still need to know
Online-course participation and general digital skills do not show AI literacy. Measuring it would require practical tests across age groups and languages.
